ANGELES – Crime Victims United of California
(CVUC) announced their support today for Los Angeles
City Councilmember Alex Padilla’s campaign for
the 20th State Senate District. CVUC is joined by leaders
in public safety including LAPD Chief Bill Bratton,
Sheriff Lee Baca, and LAFD Chief William Bamattre along
with Los Angeles Police Protective League, Los Angeles
Port Police Association, Los Angeles School Police
Association California Fire Chiefs Association, and
the Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Officers Association.

Councilmember Padilla is running for the State Senate seat
being vacated by State Senator Richard Alarcon. The primary
election will be held in June 2006.
